Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa (February 2023) 

Nomonde was educated at St. Andrews school for girls (Senderwood, Johannesburg). She holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Cape Town and a LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Professional Journey:

Prior to joining Motseoneng Bill Attorneys (MBA) Nomonde completed her articles of clerkship at Mkhabela Huntley Attorneys (MHA), a boutique Commercial and Regulatory law firm in Sandton, Johannesburg.

 During her period of articles Nomonde practiced in both individual and collective labour law, assisting in representing parties in the CCMA and Labour Courts. Nomonde was exposed to various types of maters – internal disciplinary enquiries, unfair dismissals and unfair labour practices in the CCMA, reviews (initiating and opposing, in the Labour Court and investigations for clients. As such, Nomonde drafted notices, affidavits, heads of argument and other pleadings, and attended to general litigation preparation.

Nomonde also served for a period of one year in the Competition and Regulatory department at MHA and has assisted and participated in a range of legal matters in the following area of law: Competition and Regulatory law, Forensic investigations, Administrative and procurement law, and Commercial and general litigation.  She has specific expertise in competition related matters as she has been involved in mergers and acquisition filings, competition law litigation and/provision of legal opinions to clients.

She has acted and advised on matters for individuals, corporate clients, and state-owned entities in a number of industries including ports and logistics, energy, oil and gas, information and communications technology, public transportation, ports, and logistics.

Furthermore, she has been involved in procurement law related matters including inter alia government tender reviews, litigation related to tender processes and/ provision of legal opinions on specific procurement law.

Nomonde brought her wealth of experience to MBA Incorporated in October 2023, joining as a Junior Associate Attorney in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation Department.
